We’ve also paid special attention to a fifth wheel’s user reviews so you know you’re buying a fifth wheels with a satisfied user base.

The Top 5 Best Fifth Wheels RVs With Bunk Beds:

  1. Forest River Wildcat Fifth Wheel
  2. KZ Durango 1500 Fifth Wheel
  3. Keystone Hideout Fifth Wheel
  4. Palomino Puma Fifth Wheel
  5. Heartland Sundance Fifth Wheel

#1. Forest River Wildcat Fifth Wheel

Keeping It Simple!

View All Forest River Wildcat Fifth Wheel Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
23 7466-13170 lbs 4-10 31-42 feet

Why we recommend the Forest River Wildcat fifth wheel: Given that it has 24 floorplans, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Wildcat, which is already a great fifth wheel, is also one of the best fifth wheels RVs with bunk beds as well. It can hold a maximum of 10 people in the Wilcat 28BH floorplan, but you could also go for the Wildcat 38MBX if you’re looking for something smaller. It’s also smaller and lighter than some other fifth wheels, making it great if your towing vehicle isn’t suited for heavier fifth wheels.

Heading on to the features, it has all the luxuries of a camper, as a fifth wheel well should, such as reclining theater seating and large LED TVs in the living room. On the outside, it sports custom accented front caps for a sleek look and some exterior features such as awning and outdoor speakers. You can also take it up a notch through the list of available options, which we recommend talking a look at in detail on the RV page!

Key Features:

  • 23 different floor plans available
  • Residential brushed chrome door and drawer hardware
  • Large sofa with residential hide-a-bed sleeper

#2. KZ Durango 1500 Fifth Wheel

KZs Finest Lightweight Fifth Wheel!

View All KZ Durango 1500 Fifth Wheel Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
12 7620-9430 lbs 5-10 28-35 feet

Why we recommend KZ Durango 1500 fifth wheel: While 7620 lbs might not sound light by any stretch of imagination, it would seem like it when you would look at other fifth wheels that start with 10,000 lbs dry weight. The Durango 1500, on the other hand, manages to add a good chunk of bunkhouse floorplans such as the Durango 1500 D280BHS and the Durango 1500 D292BHT, with its footprint ranging between 28 and 35 feet.

Tailgators will find the Durango 1500 quite appealing since it has all the writing for an exterior TV and has outside speakers too. Its equally good in terms of indoor features, where you’ll notice a full sized refrigerator, a deluxe sleeper sofa, pullout pantry and a faux vinyl ceiling. Similar to our previous choice it has a ton of different upgrades available: convection microwave, standalone DVD player, freestanding table and rear observation camera, to name a few. In a nutshell, the Durango 1500 is definitely a top choice for fifth wheel RVs with bunk beds.

Key Features:

  • 12 different floor plans available!
  • 100% exterior LED running lights and taillights
  • Outside speakers and pre-wired for exterior TV

#3. Keystone Hideout Fifth Wheel

Spacious Camping Personified!

View All Keystone Hideout Fifth Wheel Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
10 7745-9635 lbs 6-10 30-36 feet

Why we recommend the Keystone Hideout fifth wheel: The fifth wheel version of Keystone’s hideout is a bit different yet similar to its travel trailer version. Different in the sense that it features lesser number of floorplans and obviously more features since it’s a fifth wheel, but similar because its equally loved by users and critics in the fifth wheel world for its top notch quality and features. We recommend taking a look at the Hideout 295BHS and the Hideout 308BHDS.

Keystone’s attention to details is clear with the Hideout once you’ll notice that it has taken care of storage for those opting for a shorter fifth wheels and, of course, all of the luxuries regardless of which floorplan you choose. We liked that it had taken care of safety particularly well since (can’t be too safe, right?). Furthermore, it has a few options such as a free-standing dinette and a spare tire, making the Hideout another great choice!

Key Features:

  • 10 different floor plans available
  • Lighted adjustable power awning
  • Full-strutted storage under master bed
  • Interior surround sound speakers
  • Seamless one-piece full walk-on roof
  • Prepped for backup camera

View All Palomino Puma Fifth Wheel Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
43 5322-8795 lbs 4-10 27-34 feet

Why we recommend the Palomino Puma fifth wheel: Palomino’s fifth wheel version of the Puma is a fifth wheel with, frankly, so many floorplans available that ones who didn’t make a checklist for buying their fifth wheel will find themselves confused because they’re all so good. From the 29 feet Puma 259RBSS to the 38 feet Puma 295BHSS, they’re all great and, of course, feature a lot of other bunkhouse floorplans too!

On the inside, the 80-inch height will allow people to comfortably stay and enjoy the luxuries it has to offer whether its cozying up on the sofa near the fireplace and watching some TV or cooking in the kitchen with its decorative splashboard, 3 burner cooktop and 6-feet double door refrigerator which can be upgraded to a 11 feet variant, as can its other aspects through a list of different options available. A few of them include but are not limited to an upgraded Serta® mattress, bike rack and roof ladder.

  • 43 different floor plans
  • 14-inch deep overhead cabinets in super-slide models

View All Heartland Sundance Fifth Wheel Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
11 8307-12896 lbs 2-9 30-42 feet

Why we recommend Heartland Sundance fifth wheel: The Sundance is another fifth wheel that isn’t oblivious to our other top fives. With its versatility both in terms of sleeping capacities and length, it’s likely you’ll find the perfect floorplan for you with the Sundance or, at least, somewhere pretty close. For bunkhouses in particular, the Sundance 297QB and the Sundance 3710MB are pretty great choices.

The Sundance is segregated into two variants: the mid profile and the high profile ones. There are bunkhouse floorplans in both variants and we’ll focus on the ones that are common in both of them. For starters, they have slam latch baggage doors, painted fiberglass front cap and solar prep. On the inside, both of them have 8 cubic feet refrigerators, universal docking stations and tri-fold sleeper sofas. Both can be upgraded to a 15,000 BTU air conditioner over the traditional 13,500 BTU one too.

View All Thor Chateau Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
23 12300-14500 lbs 4-7 24-32 feet

Why we recommend the Thor Chateau class C motorhome: Thor Chateau had made it on the 2017 iteration of this list, and our choice hasn’t changed. If anything, Thor has made quite a few improvements to the Chateau with new floorplans, better sleeping capacity and better features. Its adequately constructed too, with the Chateau 22B weighing 12300 pounds and holding 4 people. All 23 floorplans have bunk over cab but the maximum sleeping capacity you can get is 7 on a floorplan like the Chateau 30D.

Feature-wise, the Chateau has definitely set itself apart. For instance, it has swiveling seat on both drivers and passanger’s chairs in the cockpit for 2 people to sit on when you’re at the campground. In the kitchen, a 16 feet refrigerator easily raises and eyebrow and once you notice everything else it has to offer, you’d already be willing to seal the deal. View All Coachmen Freelander Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
20 8140-12728 lbs 5-8 23-31 feet

Why we recommend Coachmen Freelander class C motorhome: If you need something on the lighter end with a higher sleeping capacity, then the freelander should set you in the right direction. All of its 20 floorplans have bunkhouses ranging from the Freelander 20CB Ford starting at 23 feet all the way to the 12728-pounder 31-feet-long Freelander 32FS Ford. There are many of them in between that are a good mix of length, weight and sleeping capacity so be sure to check them out too!

View All Coachmen Leprechaun Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
18 10288-12867 lbs 5-9 24-32 feet

Why we recommend the Coachmen Leprechaun class C motorhome: The Coachmen Leprechaun is another one which made our list last year. The number of floorplans or the physical specs haven’t changed since last year, but coachmen has added some new features to make it better over the existing modes, but more on that later. The Leprechaun 280BH Ford 450 and the Leprechaun 310BH Ford 450 are our top choices because of their sleeping capacity, but be sure to check out the other ones, as they are just as good as any class C motorhome with bunk beds out there!

Heading onto the features, we found the even-cool A/C ducting system and the upgraded vinyl flooring quite impressive, but most folks would probably be more interested in the U-shaped dinette and the reclining passanger and driver seats that this RV has to offer. Safety is also taken care of as the Leprechaun as safety measures such as carbon monoxide and smoke detectors put into place and lastly, there are numerous upgrades to opt for in order to expand this class Cs capabilities, making the Leprechaun the complete package!

View All Gulf Stream Conquest Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
12 12500-14500 lbs 5-8 24-32 feet

Why we recommend the Gulf Stream Conquest class C motorhome: Of the gulf stream’s number of RVs is one particular class C called the conquest which definitely had our attention, and for a good reason. Despite its comparatively decent spec sheet, it has some features that actually made it stand apart. Of course, its decent spec sheet does feature floorplans with bunk beds such as the Conquest 6526 and the Conquest 63111.

On the inside, the conquest features Roanoke light cherry cabinetry and a skydome shower while being solidly constructed out of aluminum on the outside. Standalone upgrades aside, it also features an already added package that brings many new luxury based features such as a number of stainless steel applicances and an IRD dual battery charging system. These, along with its solid rating of 4.8 stars, makes us recommend the Gulf Stream conquest as a good class C motorhome with bunk beds.

#5. Jayco Redhawk Class C Motorhome

Small Yet Spacious!

View All Jayco Redhawk Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
7 14200-14500 lbs 3-10 24-33 feet

Why we recommend Jayco Redhawk class C motorhome: Jayco’s Redhawk is often shadowed by the its Greyhawk cousin simply due to the fact that the latter is the more popular one. However, the Redhawk is actually a better choice if one were to consider a good class C motorhome with bunk beds. Its maximum sleeping capacity is actually 10 people on the Redhawk 31XL floorplan and 3 on the Redhawk 22J floorplan, making it quite versatile for people with different requirements, all within just 7 floorplans, which is saying something.

The Redhawk is no slouch when it comes to driving features either, which is evident when you notice that it sports power anti-lock brakes, power steering and side view remote controlled mirrors. Looks are paid attention to as well since it features linoleum flooring. You can also upgrade the regular awning to the 12V electric patio awning or maybe add a rear view backup camera with its optionals (check the out the full list, it’s a long one!). View All Newmar Bay Star Class A Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
20 17494-20880 lbs 4-8 30-36 feet

Why we recommend Newmar Bay Star class A motorhome: While it’s obvious that a good motorhome can be made by any company, you’ll also find that Newmar seems to be proving itself as one of the most impressive companies right now. Look at the Bay Star here as an instance. Not only does it have a plethora of floorplans with different lengths, it also provides a good sleeping capacity and a full-fledged feature list that few can compete with. We recommend taking a look at the Bay Star 3406 and the Bay Star 3419.

View All Thor Chateau Class C Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
23 12300-14500 lbs 4-7 24-32 feet

Why we recommend the Thor Chateau class C motorhome: A class A’s larger size doesn’t necessary translate to them having the best sleeping capacity. On the contrary you’ll find that some class Cs such as the Chateau by Thor actually has a sleeping capacity of 7 people in its Chateau 28E floorplan, which is better than some of the class As out there. Another great floorplan that we recommend is the Chateau 30D.

When you get into the features, you’ll see that the Chateau has just as much to boast about as it does with the specifications. From the residential vinyl flooring to a power charging center, it has all the bells and whistles of a standard class C and then some. Of course, if those aren’t enough, you can take it a step further with a good amount of expansions provided such as an exterior TV on manual swivel, leatherette dream dinette booth and many others. As far as bunkhouse campers for sale go, the Chateau is one we would grab off immediately, no questions asked.

View All Fleetwood Bounder Class A Motorhome Floorplans!

No. of Floorplans Unloaded Weight Sleeps Length
9 22000-24000 lbs 4-7 34-37 feet

Why we recommend the Fleetwood Bounder class A motorhome: If its Fleetwood’s Bounder class A that’s caught your attention because you recognize it from a happy owner on a forum or through word-of-mouth (neither of which are too surprising considering it’s reputation), then be prepared to be looking at 3 floorplans in particular. The Bounder 36F and Bounder 36H both provide bunkhouses, but the former has two full bathrooms whilst the latter has a bath and a half. The Bounder 36D has a single bathroom.

Being a class A, there’s no doubt that the Bounder is one of the most feature-rich motorhomes in the market. From the adjustable cabinet shelves to the fiberglass shower with glass door, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something which you expected but wasn’t present in this motorhome. Despite its namesake, the ‘bounder’ doesn’t really has you bound to the amount of features that are included. Why we recommend Tiffin Allegro class A motorhome: Tiffin Motorhomes is another one of the top dogs in the motorhome industry, especially the allegro lineup. When you’re on the lookout for a motorhome with bunkhouses in particular, a motorhome such as the Tiiffin Allegro will provide a lot of versatility as its got bunkhouse floorplans that provide outdoor entertainment (Allegro 35QBA) and a U-shaped dinette (Allegro 36UA).
